Thing you might not know about me: I. Love. Jason Mraz.
People say they love stuff all the time. Or celebrities. But I really REALLY love Jason. The first time I saw him live was right after I graduated from college in 2010. The last time I saw him was on my 50th birthday when I flew to NYC to see him on Broadway and met some of my fellow fans for the show.
So when Jason is releasing a new song, it’s a big deal for us. A HUGE deal, actually! We are SO excited about his new song coming out this week. You should totally go and presave the new song so that you’ll be one of the first to hear it on the 17th!
To commemorate the occasion and celebrate our love of Jason and his music, several members of our Facebook group got together to create a piece of art for him. One of the things we had to do was send in a photo of ourselves making a heart shape with our hands.

Because I can’t do anything halfway… and because I’m trying to work on my technical skills… I decided to do a selfie photo session with a tripod, my Canon 5D, an emergency light propped up on a table…and a very uncomfortable remote trigger wedged between the first two toes on my right foot.
Did I mention there was a tornado?
Yeah. It was really dark outside. And inside. So I was really worried that I would lose power and/or my roof while I was editing. It was a fun experience!
