There’s no doubt that the dandelions have been growing like crazy around here this summer. They still haven’t cut the grass across the street. Thankfully we have a contract with a WONDERFUL man who comes and saves me from being completely shamed by the neighbors every couple of weeks. It’s worth every dime.

When I was out in the yard taking pictures of the bird house though, I was eye level with some gnarly looking lawn. I noticed a few things.

  1. Under the green there is a vast network of cut off brown things.
  2. Even in the middle of all the dead stuff… life happens.
  3. Just because the dandelions aren’t yellow anymore, it doesn’t mean they aren’t still beautiful.

So the moral of this story is… just because something looks like a weed, that is no reason the dismiss it or discard it. There is beauty everywhere if you look close enough.
